Cal Loop
The other day I finished up swapping the new drive train into the Zion Express. I have been working like a mad man this summer on all the rad projects I have going on at the shop right now. I noticed i was feeling a little lost on how i was feeling about my projects so i decided that i needed to get out and remember why I even like motorcycles... here is a quick run down of my recent trip.
Point Of View
I was trying to make it to Reno the first night so i could see my long lost friends Jeremy and Maurice. I got a late start and so i only made it to Winnimuca, this $25 room was a gem.
I woke up early and hit the road to Oakland to see Max at the 4Q compound.
That night i stayed in San Mateo with my old room mates Dave and Christa. Dave is the smartest guy around, he is an engineer at TE Electronics. Dave invents assorts of hard ware for the military and other industries. He invented a new kind of shrink tubing that this machine is producing.
After the tour of TE i rode down the coast to La Selva Beach. CA-17 was a blast splitting lanes down a twisty road was a nice break from the long straights of I80. Adam Wright let me stay at his house we had a good time hanging out and tooling some leather with his neighbor rick.
The next morning i was headed to my friend Austins join in LA when I ran into some issues with my bike. one of my rear wheel bearings went out! Austin came and picked me up and we took my bike to his shop and figured out what was going on.
It just happened that the Long Beach Swap meet was the next morning and i was able to find everything i needed.
Here is another shot from glendale HD's collection.
Since it was sunday we couldn't find anyone to swap out my rear tire. Austin ended up convincing this guy from Atlantis motorcycle shop to let us use his tire irons so i swapped it the old way in a parking lot. Atlantis was having a party and this wild steam punk creation was in the lot.
Here she is all buttoned up sitting in the Odyn Vovk warehouse. Thanks for all the help Austin.
The ride home was Hottttter than hell! like 110 crossing into vegas! In vegas I was able to catch up with some of my friends that live there that was a blast! the rest of the ride home was pretty uneventful minus this crazy hail storm in Filmore.
Este!
